Who’s the best male golfer on the Grand Strand? Come discover the answer to that when area golfers compete for the annual Mayor’s Cup Men’s Amateur Golf Championship on September 13-15 at Whispering Pines Golf Course. The tournament is open to all male golfers, 18 and up. City residency is not required. Call Whispering Pines Golf Course at 843-918-2305. The best individual score will determine the winner!
If you’re planning on entering or even if you’re just coming to watch, we have plenty of accommodations available at our Myrtle Beach oceanfront resort. We have suites with coastal views and suites right on the beachfront. Whatever type of accommodations you want, whatever your budget, we have just the perfect place for you to stay.
Not far from our Myrtle Beach oceanfront resort, is the Myrtle Beach Convention Center where South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is on-line registration for vendor spaces with spaces in the Exhibitor Hall just $50.00 each. This is an event that avid garage sale enthusiasts never miss and always look forward to year after year.
When you’re finished playing golf and have seen everything worth seeing at the garage sale, there’s still always plenty more going on in the area. Maybe a long walk on the 60 miles of sandy beach frontage that the Grand Strand provides is enough to make you happy. Perhaps it’s shopping that gets you warmed up and if so there are numerous malls including an outlet mall and lots of specialty shops up and down the coast. Take the time to dine out in any of the over 2,000 restaurants that you’ll only find right here in Myrtle Beach. We look forward to your arrival.
"I have been staying at Sandy Beach for several years now. The rooms have always been nice and clean. Very comfortable. The pools and spas are great as well. The staff has always been very friendly, and willing to help with any problem you might have. I wont go anywhere else."
