Don’t Miss These 4th of July Events in Myrtle Beach

Can you believe that the 4th of July is just around the corner? It seems that this year has gone by so quickly, and now it’s time to celebrate Independence Day on the Grand Strand. Staying with us at Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort will allow you and your family to be close to the fun. Let’s look below at what 4th of July events are returning this year.

Salute from the Shore

We are all excited that Salute from the Shore is returning to the Grand Strand this year. Last year it was missed by many of our guests. On July 4th, starting at 1:00 pm, a flyover of F-16’s will make their way down the shoreline from Cherry Grove to Bluffton, SC. They are flying from the 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint National Guard Base in South Carolina. It will be unforgettable this year!

Red, White & Blue 5K

Start 4th of July right by participating in the Red, White & Blue 5K located at Barefoot Landing. This is a great way to celebrate our nation’s freedom and a way to connect with the family. Starting at 7:30 am, you’ll be able to walk, run or jog on a course that overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. After the race, breakfast will be held along with the awards ceremony at LuLu’s.

Red, White & Blue in the Sky

Of course, we can’t forget about the best part of the 4th of July besides the hotdogs and hamburgers, are the fireworks! There will be several locations along the Grand Strand where you’ll be able to view them. Some of those locations are the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk starting at 10:00 pm, Broadway at the Beach at 10:00, and Cherry Grove Pier at 9:30 pm. Bring your cameras, beach chairs, or blankets, and enjoy the show in the sky!

While many other fun things are happening this 4th of July, we wanted to share the fun return. Staying with us at Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort will allow the family to spend time together. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful and safe 4th of July with us!
