Here’s some must-see events coming up soon! The 38th Annual Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival is being held Friday – Sunday, September 27 – 29, 2013. Located at Atalaya Castle in Huntington Beach State Park (16148 Ocean Hwy) in Murrells Inlet, the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival features more than 100 fine artisans. The festival provides aesthetic beauty against a background of natural beauty. Enjoy fine art, quality crafts, Lowcountry food, and the area’s finest musicians.

The Skyhoundz Disc Contest will be held on Saturday, September 28 starting at 10 a.m. at Martin Field, Surfside Beach.

Drifters, Coasters and Platters will be performing live at the Alabama Theatre on Saturday, September 28 from 7-11 p.m.

The event celebrates different cultures and is attended by nearly 15,000 visitors each year. The festival offers food from local restaurants, beer tents, street performers, arts and crafts vendors and more. Don’t miss the local dance groups performing on two stages. Take part in a spaghetti eating contest and even a Lego building contest. There will also be a children’s area with magic, balloon art and inflatables. Admission is free.
