If you have never experienced the taste of sweet southern Muscadines, you are in for a treat.  This spring, Duplin Winery will be opening a tasting center right here in our backyard of North Myrtle Beach.  Duplin Winery has been making wine from the native Muscadine grapes for over 40 years.  Duplin Winery is a family owned business located in the sleepy town of Rose Hill, NC.  Don’t let their small town roots fool you; Duplin is currently the largest winery in the South.  Duplin Winery entertains over 90,000 visitors annually with wine tastings and tours of their production facilities.  The new tasting center will be located near Barefoot Landing adjacent to Alligator Adventure.

DSC_1975Muscadine Grapes are indigenous to the southeast, with a growing region extending from Virginia to Florida, and west to the Mississippi.  Duplin Winery reintroduced Muscadine wines into the market in 1976 and hasn’t looked back.  The wines capture the sweet fruitiness of the grape and taste like the fruit fresh off the vine.  Duplin Winery has the honor of producing the top selling wines in North Carolina.  Add a trip to Duplin Winery to learn more about their award winning wines.  Your North Myrtle Beach vacation will be more memorable with a glass or two of the cool, sweet, and easy wine.  For additional information, visit their website: www.DuplinWinery.com.
