Can you believe that for many kids, summer is just about over? Depending on where you are from will depend on when the kids start back to school. Some will begin in the middle of August, while others will start back just before Labor Day. Instead of dreading the time you have left, get excited and book a last-minute summer vacation at Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort. Let’s peek because you should take that last-minute summer vacation to Myrtle Beach next month below.
2023 Craftsmen’s Summer Classic
This summer, we know, has been a scorcher, and what better way to kick off your summer vacation than heading to an indoor event? The first weekend of August at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center is where you’ll find the 2023 Craftsmen’s Summer Classic. This show is where you’ll find some of the best crafts from locals and nationwide artists and artisans. The show begins at 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Friday, August 4th, and the final day is Sunday, August 6th at 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Enjoy all three days with a Free Return Pass for only $8.00 for adults (13 & up) and $1.00 for children (6 – 12). Don’t miss the show of the summer!
Live Entertainment at The Hangout
The Hangout in Myrtle Beach must be one of the hottest spots for many families this summer. They have so many things for everyone in the family to do that it’s hard to keep track of. During August, there will be live entertainment from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm that features the following acts:
- Tuesday, August 1st – Julio & The Saltines
- Wednesday, August 9th – City Lights
- Tuesday, August 15th – Gary Alexander Band
- Tuesday, August 22nd – Mojo Gypsy
- Saturday, August 26th – Miracle Max & The Pet Monsters
- Wednesday, August 30th – Chocolate Chip & Company
Be sure to check out their other acts that will be happening throughout the month, but the above are just a few that we wanted to share. As you listen to the music, grab a bite to eat off the impressive menu they offer.
Become a Pirate
Argh…did someone say, Pirate? One of the best things that Myrtle Beach has to offer is Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. This show allows you and your family to join Blackbeard, the most famous pirate, along with his crew as you see them battle for who has the best side, the Crimson, or the Sapphire. Along with the fun-filled show including mermaids, feast on the four-course meal that includes delicious vegetable soup, roast chicken, herb-basted potato, apple pie, unlimited Coke, tea, or coffee. They do offer vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan meals too. Think of the fun you’ll have with the family as you cheer on your favorite crew.
You should book a last-minute vacation to Myrtle Beach this summer for many other reasons, but we wanted to share the above with you. If you’re ready to book that vacation in one of our Myrtle Beach vacation rentals, now is the time. We can’t wait to hear what you did on your last-minute vacation this August!
