Let’s look below at our three reasons spring is the best time to enjoy Myrtle Beach.

Fewer Crowds

One of the best times to visit is during the spring, as the kids are still in school, so it’s less busy. If you’ve ever been to Myrtle Beach during the summer months, you may have noticed that the beach, restaurants, and local attractions were highly crowded. Even during Spring Break, it’s less crowded, meaning you’ll be able to enjoy the area a little more. Check out some things to do in the area, such as Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Top Golf, or one of the trampoline parks with the family this spring.

Fantastic Weather

Another reason why spring is the best time to visit the area is the weather. During March, you’ll notice a high of around 65° and a low of around 47°. April is a little warmer, about 75° in the day and 55° at night. May’s highs are around 79° with the lows around 63°. March, the water may be too chilly to swim in the ocean, but don’t worry, as Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort has an indoor pool and lazy river to enjoy.

Local Events

Spring brings a lot of fun events and festivals to the area, and if you only visited Myrtle Beach during the summer, you’d never get to experience them. The first festival is the Surfside Beach BBQ Festival happening March 3rd – March 4th, 2023. On March 11th, the 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival is happening on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Returning to Myrtle Beach this year is the Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival on March 31st.

A few honorable mentions are the Earth Day Festival at Brookgreen Gardens on April 22nd and the 3rd Annual Fiesta 5K and Taco Dash at Crooked Hammock Brewery. There are many other reasons spring is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach; we wanted to share these with you. If you’re ready to visit Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort this spring, now is the time to make your reservations. We can’t wait to see you and your family enjoying one of our favorite times of the year on the Grand Strand!
